Dr. Mioara Cocora is among the most experienced cardiac surgeons in Romania, with over 5,000 open-heart surgeries and 2,000 vascular interventions performed as primary operator. She has performed over 600 mitral valve repairs, both for Barlow’s disease and other degenerative conditions, as well as in endocarditis or congenital mitral valve malformations.
She has taken part in numerous exchanges and joint interventions with teams from France, the Czech Republic, and Poland, employing modern techniques of myocardial perfusion, state-of-the-art valve substitutes, homografts, and surgery for congenital heart malformations.
