S.C. Prodia S.R.L. is a company with fully foreign capital, established in September 1999, having the fiscal identification number 12139054, and registered with the Trade Register under number 19/261/1999.
The company began its activity on November 1st, 2000, when it took over the laboratory from Miercurea Ciuc County Hospital, through concession. At the same time, it began serving the population, family doctors, and specialists through the outpatient laboratory. From the very beginning, Prodia Laboratory has been in contractual relationship with the Harghita County Health Insurance House.
Starting on January 31st, 2005, Prodia established a work point in Gheorgheni, located in the New Policlinic building, ensuring laboratory services for people living in the Gheorgheni Depression.
The next major investment was in Odorheiu Secuiesc and Cristuru Secuiesc. The investment in Odorheiu Secuiesc took place in two main stages: the first stage involved the renovation and arrangement of the building where the work point was established. The second stage involved investment in the necessary equipment, thus setting up a modern, well-equipped laboratory. This project would not have been possible without the technical and logistical support of the company S.C. Haemolab S.R.L. from Târgu Mureș. The work point in Odorheiu Secuiesc started operations in February 2006.
The work point in Cristuru Secuiesc began operations in April 2006.
Since its establishment, Prodia Laboratories has placed great emphasis on the quality of the analyses performed. Thus, the Prodia Laboratory in Miercurea Ciuc was accredited by RENAR according to SR EN ISO/CEI 17025:2001 on June 22nd, 2005. Once the SR EN ISO/CEI 15189:2007 standard was introduced, the laboratory focused on becoming accredited according to this standard, obtaining accreditation in January 2010.
All of the investments made in Prodia Laboratories have been aimed at creating modern laboratories, with well-trained personnel who are aware of the value and importance of the work performed, and with the main goal of providing accurate and varied analyses for doctors and patients
